The chiming of Harley's questions pulled Ivy from her focused reverie and she dropped the peas into the planter.
"Shit." She leaned over, searching for the small red and black beans. Harley was right. They did look like lady bugs. "Stand back. They fell into the dirt and I'll have to pull them out carefully. Once these peas get in soil, they begin omitting their toxins." She looked at Harley very seriously.
"I don't want you being poisoned." That was true with these plants, but it was also true about clowns.
